Ponderosa Utility Corporation is an older system with an aging infrastructure. Although we have updated all of the pumping equipment within the last six years, the majority of the pipes in the ground which supply water to our customers are almost 60 years old.
While we do notify customers of scheduled outages, we can’t control the unplanned ones. P.U.C suggests that each customer keep an emergency supply of water on hand at all times.
Also, if you need water during an outage, you can come to the utility office and fill up at the yard hydrant.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during a water outage. Although we never know how long the water will be off during the repair, please remember that our water operators always work as quickly and safely as possible to repair the issue and restore service to the affected area.
