Ponderosa Utility Corporation is committed to providing the Mountainaire and Highland Meadows communities with the highest quality, naturally pure drinking water.
Our Story
Ponderosa Utility Corporation is a privately owned water company that has serviced the communities of Mountainaire and Highland Meadows for over 60 years. The community is approximately 7 miles south of Flagstaff, Arizona in Coconino County. The area is situated on 320+ acres of privately-owned land surrounded entirely by U.S. Forest Service managed public domain. We are regulated by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and the Arizona Corporation Commission (AZCC). We currently provide water to over 690 households and 5 Commercial businesses.
Meet the Team
Currently, six employees, including the owner, maintain the daily operations of the water distribution system. Three employees are Water Operators, certified by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.
